Mandarin Quiz (1)


So here’s a new way to randomly improve your vocabulary.  In this post let’s play a game and see if you can work out the English words, then I will put their translation below in Mandarin Chinese.  Good luck!

e.g. A liquid that you drink to rehydrate you and makes up the majority of our bodies = water 水 shuǐ

  1. When you get uptight and stressed and make mistakes or talk without making sense
  2. Someone who only eats certain types of foods and is unwilling to try new foods or will often take things out of sandwiches or meals
  3. What you get from going through an event once or multiple times and can then advise others
  4. When people disagree about something but not badly
  5. Someone who always looks on the bright side
  6. A popular ingredient in cooking, particularly with Mediterranean cooking and fending off vampires
  7. You’ll find this if you follow a map marked with a cross
  8. We all only have one.  It’s unique to this planet (as far as we know!)
  9. If we suffer with this we are prone to serious illness and even heart attack
  10. We get embarrassed if we can’t use these in a Chinese restaurant
