  1. uno/una
  2. dos
  3. tres
  4. cuatro
  5. cinco
  6. seis
  7. siete
  8. ocho
  9. nueve
  10. diez
  11. once
  12. diez
  13. trece
  14. catorce
  15. quince
  16. dieciséis
  17. diecisiete
  18. dieciocho
  19. diecinueve
  20. veinte

¿Cuántos años tienes? – How old are you?

Tengo … años – I am … years old

Numbers above 20.

Don’t rush to learn all of the numbers.  Just learn 1-10 at the moment and come back to these later.  This is simply for you to be able to say your own age.

20-29

veinte – 20

veintiuno -21

veintidós – 22

Basically put veinti + the number from 1-9

30-100

  • 30 – treinta
  • 40 – cuarenta
  • 50 – cincuenta
  • 60 – sesenta
  • 70 – setenta
  • 80 – ochenta
  • 90 – noventa
  • 100 – cien / ciento

Just add the word for ‘and’ and the number from 1 -9

e.g. treinta y dos = 32

cuarenta y cinco = 45

setenta y siete = 77

Try the following for yourselves (answers next lesson)

  1.  8 = ?
  2. 11 = ?
  3. 25 = ?
  4. 31 = ?
  5. 49 = ?
  6. 54 = ?
  7. 66 = ?
  8. 72 = ?
  9. 89 = ?
  10. 91 = ?
  11. 99 = ?

¡Hasta luego!
